What we offer
EXPerience Physical Therapy currently offers 45-minute one-on-one sessions with a physical therapist including services uniquely tailored to each individual. The listed services/treatments below are examples of what may be provided during a session depending on each patient’s needs.
Manual therapy encompasses a vast variety of techniques involving hands-on treatment by your physical therapist such as soft tissue, scar tissue, and joint mobilizations. Manual therapy can often help in improving mobility, reducing pain, and improving muscle activation when paired with other appropriate treatment techniques.
Cupping therapy originates from old treatment techniques that has been slowly popularized within the physical therapy community. While other clinics may utilize a variety of techniques with cups, EXPerience Physical Therapy primarily utilizes dry cupping with plastic units with the goals of temporarily improving soft tissue extensibility, as well as providing proprioceptive feedback for improving motion and muscle activation
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilizations involve the use of specific tools, often with the goal of deep tissue or fascial release, and scar tissue breakdown.
Traditional strength training involving resistance and loading exercises is an essential component of any rehabilitation process, as it allows for muscle hypertrophy that will assist in supporting compromised joints, retaining tendon/ligament strength, and improving activity tolerance with reduced pain.
BFR training involves the use of a machine-regulated tourniquet that partially restricts blood flow to a limb during low-load/high-rep exercise. The lack of blood flow accelerates muscle fatigue, resulting in the biochemical process required for muscle hypertrophy. Because the standardized BFR protocol involves exercise under low resistance, this puts low stress on joints, ligaments, and tendons while still promoting muscle strength, making it a great tool for post-operative rehabilitation and severe osteoarthritis.
POST-OPERATIVE REHABILITATION
It is crucial to attend physical therapy after an orthopedic surgical operation, including tendon repairs, joint replacements, and arthroscopic procedures. The sooner you can attend physical therapy, the easier it is to prevent excessive muscle/strength loss, scar tissue build-up, and range-of-motion loss. EXPerience Physical Therapy prioritizes in helping you return to the activities you enjoy the most.
Return-to-sport REHABILITATION
At EXPerience Physical Therapy, we offer many resources and tools in helping one return to sport, regardless of level or age.
Balance/ neuro training/ rehab
In a 2023 article, the CDC reported over 30,000 unintentional fall-related deaths in 2021. It is imperative to train components of balance including recovery skills and fall skills, especially when balance becomes impaired by natural aging, concussive injuries, and neurological impairments.
